Badged the 250 GTE 2+2, this luxurious grand tourer featured a spacious cabin with a rear occasional seat. It is noteworthy for being the first four-seater Ferrari manufactured on a large scale. It was powered by the company’s new “Tipo 128F” 3.0-litre V-12 engine. Production spanned 1960 to 1963, with an updated version launching every 12 months, here the names Series 1, Series 2 and Series 3 was created. Chassis:4859 did roll off the production line in 1963, and therefore have the “label” Series 3. It was delivered new to the Italian owner, painted in the elegant color of Grigio Agento, the cabin was upholstered in lavish Rossa Connolly leather.
